PET CT Scanner

What is PET-CT?
PET-CT is an advanced medical imaging modality which combines Positron Emission Tomography (PET) and Computed Tomography (CT), utilizing the strengths of both imaging modalities to provide optimal diagnostic image quality. PET images functional processes, such as tumor metabolic activity while CT offers anatomic information.

What are the benefits of PET-CT?
PET-CT is especially useful in the field of oncology or cancer management, where it enables:

Mammogram

What is Mammography?
Mammography is a special type of imaging that uses a low-dose x-ray machine to examine the breast, demonstrating the tissues, the glands, fat and blood vessels under the skin of the breast.

Who should have a mammogram done?
You should have a mammogram done if you notice any changes in your breasts or if you are 40 years old and above.

A mammogram can detect tiny changes in your breast which you may not have noticed. These changes may be due to cancer. Early detection and treatment of such cancers offer the best chance for cure. About one in 17 woman will develop breast cancer at some time in her life.

Women with a family history of breast cancer should be aware that this does increase their own risk and that breast screening is particularly important for them. You should discuss with your doctor about the benefits of having a mammogram.

e Speed CT Scanner

At the blazing speed of 30 images per second or true scan speed of 33 msec,  the e-Speed is still the world's fastest CT scanner.        This speed advantage ensures consistent and accurate imaging of the beating heart without the need for medications to slow down the heart beat.

The e-Speed delivers 10 times lower X -ray radiation dose compared to 64 slice CT.  This makes it the CT Scanner with the lowest radiation dosage in the world.

In house Laboratory

The whole range of blood and urine tests are carried out by qualified and experienced medical laboratory technologists in our own  in-house laboratory. Our Biochemistry, Hematology and Serology tests  are fully automated.  Tests are run immediately and results are given to patients with minimal waiting time.

X-Ray   A computerized Toshiba X-ray produces consistently high quality X-ray images.

Ultrasonography

Colour Doppler  Ultrasound machine for abdominal, cardiac, pelvic and perinatal ultrasonography

Gastrovideoscopy and Colonovideoscopy    for the examination of the upper and lower gastrointestinal tract. The diagnostic power of the videoscope is many times better than a Barium meal examination and it avoids harmful X-ray radiation.  It also allows for diagnostic biopsies and treatment. Most important of all, the patient can visualize his/her stomach on a DVD.

Ear, Nose and Throat Diagnostics

Spirometer  - for lung function testing

Audiometer &  sound proof cubicle - for hearing test

Slit-Lamp Microscope - for eye examination

Schnellen Chart

Ocular Puff Tonometer - for painless measurement of  ocular   pressure

ECG and Cardiovascular Monitoring services

12 lead ECG

Exercise Stress ECG

24 hour Holter ECG

Digital Retinal Imaging
